Culture-Images, Germany, represents photographs, works of art, technical drawings and objects from public institutions and private collections.
One of most notable collections is from the GDR picture archive. The pictures were originally made for the party organ “Neues Deutschland” (“New Germany”). It covers the times of the GDR as a state and also documents the exciting transition period at the time of reunification, as well as the associated phenomena in respect to the great social and economic changes up to 1993.
